Panel Doors

Three Commonly Identifiable & Recognised Styles

The AckroLam Panel door is made using the same construction as the flush door for the stile and rail framing, varied slightly for the panel by using the AckroShield as the core with an MDF veneered or solid wood facing.

The door construction is entirely bonded and assembled using our AckroBond high temperature adhesive.

Our Range

We make to order so there is no ‘standard’ door size, but we show here a range of our most commonly produced profiles patterns and designs.

These provide a guide, with almost any mix and match of panel and moulding detail being possible.  The limits therefore are almost entirely your imagination.

If you do not see here what you need, please contact us and we will be pleased to talk you through the process.  Our chances of being able to help are, as Crocodile Dundee would say…. ”better than average”

Stock Components

All our doors are made to order using stock Stile, Rail & Muntin components in the dimensions below. We are happy to produce other sections to your requirements though these may add slightly to the cost and production time.

  • Stiles, Muntins and top and intermediate upper rails (on 5 or 6 panel doors) = 125mm wide

  • Middle or Lock rails = 200mm wide

  • Bottom rails = 225mm wide

Fire Ratings - Panel Doors

The most onerous design when subjected to fire testing is the Shaker, having the thinnest panel unfortified by mouldings.  This allows any additional panel thickness or moulding to be added, enhancing rather than compromising the performance of the door.
